The H-2-X Type Controlair Valves <\/strong>are handle operated\u00a04-way, exhausted center, pressure control\u00a0valves.
The typical unit contains two directional control 3-way\u00a0side valves and a pressure graduating portion that is\u00a0arranged to increase, decrease or maintain air pressure\u00a0to a separate delivery line. In neutral position,\u00a0both 3-way side valves exhaust both delivery lines. A\u00a0movement of 10 degrees either side of center position\u00a0opens the appropriate side valve and directs\u00a0pressure to the indicated outlet port. Continued\u00a0movement past 10 degrees up to full travel, or 46\u00a0degrees either side of neutral continues to actuate\u00a0the pressure graduating portion to deliver a graduated\u00a0pressure according to the valve of the control\u00a0spring.

Models<\/strong>
There are six models with similar valve functions, but\u00a0different handle operating characteristics.
HD-2-X Controlair Valve <\/strong>-Handle is spring returned\u00a0to neutral position from all positions in the handle\u00a0travel. Some special models exist. See notes on\u00a0Identity schedule on page 7.
HD-2-LX Controlair Valve <\/strong>– Handle is spring returned\u00a0to neutral position from all positions except at\u00a0the maximum pressure setting on both sides of center.\u00a0The handle is held in both extreme positions by\u00a0a mechanical detent.
HD-2-FX Controlair Valve <\/strong>– Handle is equipped with\u00a0a friction brake that will hold the handle in any position\u00a0selected in the handle travel.
HD-2-XS Controlair Valve <\/strong>– Handle detents in both\u00a0maximum pressure positions. The handle is spring\u00a0returned to neutral position from all other positions in\u00a0the handle travel. Graduated pressure to port (8) is\u00a0only delivered in one direction of the handle movement.
HD-2-FXR Controlair Valve <\/strong>– Handle function is\u00a0similar to the HD-2-FX Valve. The difference is the\u00a0two directional valves are supplied <\/em>instead of being\u00a0exhausted <\/em>when the handle is in the neal position,
HD-2-LS Controlair Valve<\/strong>– Handle holds in full travel,\u00a0neutral and detent positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
